Nicole’s journey in healthcare began with an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing (ADN) from Fort Scott Community College where she developed a strong foundation in nursing principles and patient care. Eager to expand her knowledge and advance her career, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Leadership studies from Research College of Nursing.
Nicole joined CSAKC after obtaining her degree. She works closely with the colorectal surgeons, assisting in surgical procedures, conducting pre-operative evaluations, and providing post-operative care to patients. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, and anorectal disorders.
Nicole is committed to delivering personalized care to each patient, emphasizing communication, empathy, and patient education throughout the treatment process. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and optimal outcomes for her patients. She believes in the power of open communication, patient education, and collaborative decision-making to empower her patients to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Outside of her professional commitments, Nicole treasures the moments spent with her family. She adores bonding with her supportive husband, creating cherished memories with her loving stepdaughter, and enjoying the playful antics of their dogs. Whether exploring the great outdoors, cooking together as a family, or simply relaxing at home, Nicole values the importance of nurturing her relationships and fostering a strong sense of unity and happiness within her family unit.
