Pain and Activity After Achilles Tendon Treatment

Out of 100 people who have surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon, 73 will not have any problems with pain, wearing shoes, or walking 1 year after surgery, compared to 51 people out of 100 who do not have surgery. 69 out of 100 people who have surgery will be able to return to the same level of sports activity over 1 to 2 years, compared to 68 out of 100 people who do not have surgery.
